Backyard Transformations

To ease your mind, we’ve assembled a step-by-step outline to help you know what to expect as your swimming pool is created. View the steps below.

DESIGN

Barrett Pools offers you a state of the art virtual design of your pool before we ever begin construction. We know that building a swimming pool is a big step. With our virtual design you are able to visualize your dream pool in your very own backyard.

LAYOUT

Now that the design of your pool is finalized, we begin by laying out the swimming pool structure in your yard. This allows you the chance to better visualize your new swimming pool.

EXCAVATION

The construction process begins by shaping the ground according to the specifications for your pool design.

FORMING

We form the pool edge so the next phases can follow. By the time this process is completed, you’ll have a good idea of what the outline and depth of your pool looks like.

REBAR

We install 1/2″ rebar 9″ O.C throughout your pool.

SHOOTING/POURING

We apply gunite to the walls and bottom around the steel grid built during the forming process. This will provide the hard surfaces necessary for the interior design of your pool.

PLUMBING

Pool plumbing goes in after the gunite. Trenches will be dug to the location of your future pool equipment and all underground piping will be presure tested to confirm no leaks.

TILE & COPING

The tile and coping for your pool go hand-in-hand. We carefully install the decking to mesh well with the coping surrounding your pool.

DECKING

The pool deck of your choice is going in next. For paver decks we backfill with 4-6″ limestone base and add 1″ cushion sand and then top with paver.
For Travertine decks we pour a 4″ concrete deck and top with Travertine pavers. For Kooldeck we cover 4″ concrete with Koolcote and paint to color of your choice

PLASTER!

The pool plaster color of your choice is going in next. This process is typically a one day application. Filling the pool commences immediately after plaster and wash so the plaster materials can cure under water.

THE FINAL TOUCHES!

Once the hard construction is completed, landscaping is installed and your pool is complete! The final step is to ENJOY!
